Book Sale

There will be a fundraising sale of second-hand books on Saturday the 31st of March, outside the Street Pastors office on Lower Nevis Street (opposite Joe Mike’s).  The event begins at 7.00am.

Next new Street Pastor training

The next training will take place in the Street Pastor office in St. John’s in February.  This comprises six evenings over two weeks (Monday the 27th, Tuesday the 28th, and Wednesday the 29th of February plus Monday the 5th, Tuesday the 6th and Wednesday the 7th of March) from 5pm to 9pm each evening.  This is followed by a further sessions of one evening per month for ten months.

The core topics covered in the first six evenings are:

Roles and Responsibilities of Street Pastors.

Police: Community Policing, Drug Enforcement, Crime Stoppers, Weapons.

Drugs and Alcohol: Effects, Abuse, Treatment, Rehabilitation.  First Aid.

Listening Skills. The Listening Ministry of Jesus.

Knowing Your Community.
